David Hicks
Principal
I
joined the RHS faculty in 2006-2007 after serving 10 years as the principal of Polk
Middle School in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD
and Colleyville Middle
School in the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Before
that time, I was an assistant principal at Newman Smith HS and a history teacher
at Blalack and DeWitt Perry
Middle Schools, also in C-FB ISD.
Ranchview
High School is a wonderful place where
students are challenged to be their best everyday. We provide a rich, engaging,
and academically challenging curriculum, outstanding performing arts groups,
competitive athletic teams and many high interest student clubs. As principal,
it is my mission to create and support a culture in which all students graduate
prepared to be successful in meeting the challenges they will face in college
and in the workforce. I am dedicated to knowing our students as individual
young adults and to supporting and recognizing their efforts to excel in the
classroom, on the field, and on stage.
Outside
of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and attending professional
sporting events – especially the Texas Rangers! Currently, I am on a lifelong
quest to travel to all of the major league ballparks, especially before each of
the classic stadiums gets rebuilt
I am
excited to be your principal and I am looking forward to a great school year!
